Our all-star cheer squads, Thunder (East) and Xplosion (West), are competitive squads
who practice approximately 8 hours per week and remain active through out the one
year season. Both squads officially start each year in May and conclude in April
the following year. They will learn all the necessary skills during their training
to prepare them for competition; this includes terminology, motions, jumps, stunting,
tumbling, cheers, and competitive routines.
Both squads require a year long commitment and practice to maintain their level.
Purchasing uniforms, cheer shoes, travel expenses and all other items related to
the squad is required for the Thunder and Xplosion All-Stars competitive cheer squads.
For those families who might need financial help, there are fund raisers available.
All practices are held indoors by our certified coaches. Some certifications are
to include American Association of Cheerleading for Coaches and Administrators certifications,
USAG certified, First Aid & CPR certified. Competitions are throughout, but not limited
to, Texas and New Mexico.
